A place to post your takes on anime and manga, see how the room splits, and argue it out. Creators also run matchups: two teams, one vote, a deadline, and a result.
Not to vote. Anyone can agree, disagree, or pick a side in a matchup. You need an account to post takes, reply, earn standing and credits, and get told when results come in.
Standing comes from two things: how many people voted on your take, and how divided they were. A take that splits the room close to evenly earns the most. A take nearly everyone agrees with earns very little. Nothing counts until at least 4 people have voted, so a couple of friends can’t inflate a take.
Your best replies also earn standing when people give them a W.
The button on replies. Give one when someone makes a strong argument, even if you disagree with them. You can’t give your own reply a W.
Your total standing decides your tier, and your username changes colour as you climb.
A separate currency you earn by taking part: voting, posting, getting replies and Ws, and when your takes hit vote milestones. There are daily limits on how much each activity can earn. Credits are separate from standing, and standing can never be bought.
Earned for doing something notable, such as a take that splits the room or drives a big argument. You can wear one next to your name. They can’t be bought. See the full list, including the ones you haven’t earned yet, on your profile.
Everyone starts the month at zero, and points come from takes and replies posted that month. The winner earns a one-time title naming the month, and the top ten earn credits.
The very first members of NovelTake hold permanent founding titles: Founding Ancestor and Founding Elder. They can never be earned again.
A creator sets up two sides and a deadline. Pick a side, and you’ll see the split after you vote. When voting closes, everyone who voted with an account is told whether their side won.
Use Share on any take, or the invite link on your profile. You earn credits when people you invite vote, and more when they join and get involved.
You’ll see replies, Ws, results and titles in Activity. If you’ve been away, we may send one email bundling what you missed, at most every few hours. You can turn emails off in Settings on your profile.
