The short version: argue hard about the work, never about the person.
Disagreement is the whole point of NovelTake. Tell someone their take is wrong, that their favourite arc drags, that their power scaling makes no sense. Don’t go after who they are: insults, mocking someone’s identity, or following them around the site to pile on.
Standing is meant to reflect what real people think. Using multiple accounts to vote on your own takes, coordinating groups to vote takes up or down, or creating accounts to farm credits or referral rewards all count as manipulation.
If a take gives away something a reasonable fan might not have reached yet, mark it as Minor or Major spoilers when you post. Untagged spoilers can be reported and removed.
Matchups are run by creators. The same rules apply to matchup titles, team names and the arguments in the replies.
Use Report on any take, reply or matchup. Reports go to moderators, not to the person you reported. If someone is bothering you, open their profile and use Block: their takes, replies and matchups disappear for you, and they can no longer reply to yours. They aren’t told.
Content that breaks these rules is removed. Repeated or serious problems can mean losing your account, along with your standing, titles and credits. Accounts used to manipulate scoring can have their votes, credits or rewards removed.
If you think something of yours was removed by mistake, email support@noveltake.app and we’ll take another look.
